Have a person trained in sales who can connect with the person, providing positive reinforcement with what has worked for the person in the past. Find out what they want to solve: What are you looking to accomplish? What have you tried in the past that has worked? There is a lot more you can do when you get a person’s phone number.

As you move through each of the stages, there is a BREAKTHROUGH that needs to occur. As you grow, you are hitting new and different problems, you need to reengineer your focus and develop the confidence to get through that stage.

STAGE 1: Hiring a trainer…GOAL: Ring the Register (Don’t stay in Stage 1 too long)
STAGE 2: You run your business and fill 1-2 of the boxes, but it is ok to stay here if you want to be here. But you can also think about hiring people to fill the boxes.
STAGE 3: You run your business and maybe fill 1-2 of the boxes. You have hired people to do most of the work.
STAGE 4: You don’t fill any of the boxes
